I were driving home from work yesterday when it hit me that I havent used my camera for about 1 month now.. Atleast here in Sweden its dark about 24/7 and cold.. soon the snow will be here.. And I have no energy to go out and take pictures.. its the same thing every year, so what do you do to keep the spirit and energy up, esp. when it comes to photographing cars?

feature cars. usually shot inside shops (which is blah, but what you have to do). I think i have a list a mile long of cars I need to shoot for features.

One of the perks of living (and shooting) in California is that winter is no big deal... and actually most of the motorcycle teams take advantage of it, making January one of my busiest months.

My first magazine cover was of the new Subaru Forester in the snow, and most of my shots were in the middle of a snowstorm. Just nail the exposure, keep it interesting, and make sure you wear gloves to keep the frostbite at bay.

I don't shoot motorsports during the winter because what there is to shoot either doesn't interest me (low level karting) or I can't get to (decent, non-FIA rallying) due to my circumstances involving three part time jobs - Photographer, student and ... *cough* shop assistant.
When the light is good I still take the camera for walkies and shoot whatever happens to be around (not automotive as I don't really like cars, strange as that may sound; but, random, on the floor, on the walls of our many derelict buildings, stuff) for fun and to go in my college books. I don't get too bored, photographing random stuff seems to be my calling and it's where I'm taking my motorsport photography.
Usually end up visiting a nice city somewhere at some point during the winter as well. Trip to Paris in 11 days, should be fun if it's anything like the Berlin trip ... and if I can get time out of work.

I shoot quite a few test days at my local track, and occasionally take the camera out with me.

I never stop, if it's not shooting then it's marketing or supplying images. It's still bikes for me, just got back from Daytona yesterday....!
Then gardening ..

Arizona is great to shoot all year except for our crazy rainy season. But I would love to have snow to do some scenic shoots in, I wouldn't let the cold stop me!
