Anyone have examples of racecar graphics (at dusk or night) with BLACK reflective vinyl?

I'm getting some new vinyl done and black is one of the colors. But the Scotchlite material is BIG expensive compared to regular, black vinyl. I can't remember ever seeing black Scotchlite used on a racecar and am wondering if there's a reason for that and if it is worth the extra expense.

If there are any of you who shoot a lot of enduro/night/low-light types of racing (Ahem, John...) please share your examples and experiences.

Best,

Thawley

What appears gold is black reflective vinyl. This was an overcast rainy day at Limerock (so what's new?) - a little flash... and voila` .... it turned anywhere from bronze to antique gold.

Flying Lizard, back in the 2005 season had a black car and a red car. The black reflected gold.

John - sorry I missed your call. I left on a camp-out with my daughter late last week and just got back yesterday evening.

Your Jag images show exactly what I wanted to know. Though not what I wanted to see...

I'll be using the black as an outline/background to the main color which is orange. The gold/bronze will be too close in value to the orange for that, me thinks. Works great on its own, though.

Thanks.
